Frequently asked questions
How does Express work?
Enter the language and an initial idea. The wizard adapts its questions to the type of book and lets you review the proposed topics, edit the title and approve the cover. After payment, PlottyBot starts writing automatically.
What does Express include?
The displayed price includes book creation and formatting, PDF and DOCX files, the built-in reader and editor, one paperback copy and shipping for that copy. Additional copies are charged separately.
When do I choose the number of copies?
When your Express book is ready, review it in your account and select “Print and ship”. One copy is already included; at that point you can choose the total and pay only for additional copies.
Can I edit the book after it is generated?
Express: yes. You can read it, edit it with the AI Editor and download it before confirming printing. Editing is locked after confirmation.
Pro: yes. You can use the AI Editor during the availability period.
Which formats can I download?
Both Express and Pro let you read the book online and download PDF and DOCX files from your account. Reader rendering may differ from the files, so always review the final PDF before printing.
How is an Express book printed?
Unless checkout states otherwise: paperback binding, color interior and white paper. The standard size is 6×9 inches for fiction, short-story collections and biographies, and 7×10 for other categories.
How long does delivery take?
The usual estimate is 7–10 days after printing starts. This is indicative and may vary because of production, destination, courier or customs.
Can I choose the length of the book?
Pro: for fiction, choose a short, medium or long book; for non-fiction, the word estimate updates with the sections.
Express: no. PlottyBot selects a suitable length; the usual maximum is about 35,000 words.
Can I choose the length of each chapter?
No, it depends on the request. You can, however, ask for a brief overview or a concise explanation.
Can I choose the layout?
Pro: yes, you can choose from several paperback templates; the eBook uses a standard design.
Express: no. PlottyBot selects the layout for the book.
Can I choose or change the Express cover?
Yes. In the wizard you choose the style, may upload up to five reference images and approve the result before ordering. Up to three cover generations are available.
How long does PlottyBot take?
Completing the wizard normally takes a few minutes. Generation depends on length and generally takes about 30 minutes to a few hours. You will receive an email when the book is ready.
Where do I find my book?
You will receive an email notification. The reader, editor and downloads are in your account Library; the Express copy is delivered to the address confirmed before printing.
How long are books and drafts available?
Completed books normally remain available for three months for Express and twelve months for Pro. An unpaid Express draft normally expires seven days after its latest activity; you may have up to three pending Express drafts.
Can I choose where images go?
No, placement is automatic. When requested and supported, images are added to chapters; cookbooks and DIY books can include one per recipe or project. Step-by-step image sequences are not supported.
Is payment required upfront?
Yes. For Express, you first complete the wizard, title and cover, then pay before writing starts. A previously purchased, unused Express book does not require a second payment.
Are there subscriptions or packages?
No. Book creation requires no subscription: you pay for the book you create.
Are the contents guaranteed to be error-free?
No. AI-generated results may contain errors, repetition, invented details or unintended similarities. Always review text, images, formulas, names, citations and layout before publishing or printing.
